Who knows what Vaiskahi is? Well for those of you who don’t, I’ll tell you. Vaisakhi is an Indian Celebration which is celebrated on the 13th of April.  We always celebrate Vaisakhi at the Gurdwara. For those of you who don’t what the Gurdwara is it’s like a church. When we went to the Gurdwara on the 13th of April there were heaps of people! There were drinks and lollies, and there was also lots of food there. I really enjoyed myself. At about 2:00pm we started to have games which included, running races, Musical Chairs, and some other games as well as Indian Games, but I don’t remember the names of them. All of the children that wanted to participate in the running races were seperated into their age groups. When that had finished happening we started to race. My brother took part and he came first! He is really sporty. When I did my running race I was so nervous, because I know I’m not very sporty. But guess what. I came first! I felt so happy! At the end of all of the races my little brrother and I got gold medals as well as the other runners who came first. The people who came second got silver medals and the people who came third got bronze medals. The rest of the kids got free drinks and lollies. I’m really looking forward to next year, because we will have Vaisakhi again. I might even come first again. Wish me luck!

Hi Naveen!
Amazing how you came first when you are not very sporty, I am a good runner though, people say! :)
I love lollies, the party sounds so exciting and fun! I wish I was there so I could see you and play all those fun games and also eat!
I wish you luck and hope that you go next year too, write about it okay? I’m looking forward to it! :P
P.S I like Musical Chairs too, it’s really cool and just….. FUN AS FUN CAN BE! ;)
