Guess what!!!!!? I got Head Student for our school! I can’t believe it! I am so excited! Tomorrow is our first Monday morning assembly with the three Head Students sitting up on the stage with Mr McCabe. This year there were 9 or 10 people who applied for the role as Head Student. Only House Captains and Class Councillors are allowed to apply for this role, and I am a House Captain so I went for it. There were meant to be only two Head Students this year, but the decision was too hard for our principal Mr McCabe to decide our Head Students, so we have three this year, and I am one of them. The other two Head Students are Ella and Angus. They are both Class Councillors. Ella is the Class Councillor of Room 6, and Angus is the Class Councillor of Room 8. I am looking forward to working with Ella and Angus, and I now Angus pretty well, as he was in my class in 2006. I am sure I will get along with these two people, as I know them really well. Also, now I will be up on stage when we have a Student Assembly. Whoever wanted to apply for the role as Head Student had to write a letter in to Mr McCabe. The letter had to say, why they wanted to be a Head Student, why Mr McCabe should make them a Head Student, what they would do for the school as Head Student, and quite a few other things. Then he would have an interview with each and every one of us. In the interview he asked us some questions. The first question he asked was, “Tell me about yourself”. I didn’t have any trouble with any of the questions, and I think I was the third to last person to have my interview. Anyway, I’m really proud of myself, and I am sure that I will do a great job for my school as Head Student for 2008!

I would find the decision hard too, if i was in Mr McCabe’s place.

congradulations-good news all round, and I finaly found some one who regulary updates their blog, ironically I seem to be posting more this year then last myself.
It was a hard choice… and only one of the three successful applicants was from room 3?
