What would you call it, Tagging, Grafitti or Art? March 22, 2008

There has been a lot of Tagging and Graffiti in New Zealand. Some people do it on walls, some people do it on others property, like on their fence, and there are lots of other places where Tagging and Graffiti is done. If you don’t know what tagging or Graffiti is, well here are some pictures to show you.
Looking at the pictures above, do you think this is called Tagging, Graffiti or Art?
I think it depends on what it’s like, like if it’s a picture or not, or if it’s just someone being silly. I think this should be stopped, and the government should do something about it, and they already are which is good. People are painting over walls and fences with Graffiti, and Tagging on them. I think this is a really good thing to do, and buying spray-paints should be banned. What do you think?

I agree with you, i like your idea. I think they should ban it because it has NO, nothing at all, to do with education or anything important!
They just do silly things and swear on the walls and say bad things about people and teachers!!
They should ban it because it has no purpose and ruins people’s walls. The spray-painters spray on fences and walls and houses. Shop owners get upset because they have to pay heaps to get rid of them and get even more upset because the sprayers re-spray again.It would really annoy me!
I think the government should do something.
But i do like the type. It IS beautiful! But i think they should do paintings of that in museums, something nice, like the word “happiness” in grafiti art!
You have to say, it IS pretty cool. And whoever did it is a talented artist!!!

I think this is called graffete and i also think it should be banned.
