Hi everyone! It was my birthday a while ago, and I turned 12! I got lots of presents including a brand new bike from my mum and dad. This was my favourite present. On my birthday we went to the lake and played lots games. On Boxing Day we went to Rainbows End to celebrate my birthday there too, even though my birthday was about a week or two later. We really enjoyed it there. We had even more fun than we had last time we went. This was one of my favourite birthdays ever, because we did lots of things, and I got lots of presents. I wish all of my birthdays are like this. So, Happy Birthday to me, and I hope you’ve all enjoyed your holidays so far.

Hey everyone. Happy New Year! It’s 2008! I am so excited for this year, because I’m a Year 8. At Te Awamutu Intermediate you get so many opportunities when you are a Year 8. You have the choice to become a Librarian, a person that gives special service to the school, and two of the most important roles in te school, being a House Captain or Student Councillor. This year I really want to be a Student Councillor so badly that I would do anything to be one. But if I am not able to become a Student Councillor I am going to have to go for House Captain. This year we are going to choose the House Captains before we choose the Student Councillors, so I am going to go for House Captain first, even though I really want to be a Student Councillor. The reason why I am going for House Captain first, is because if I don’t become a Student Councillor, I won’t have a chance to be a House Captain either, and I might not have one of the major roles in the school. So I don’t really have a choice, and am going to have to go with House Captain first. If I do become a Student Councillor, I am absolutely sure that I will do a fantastic job. I will not give up, and will keep trying until I have achieved what I am trying to do. So Good Luck to me, and have a Happy New Year everyone!
